From being a student here to becoming a teacher herself, her journey's been remarkable, and her visit brought cherished memories of our transformed inn.✨ “She has such fond memories of Blackstone College and over the years, when traveling through the area, has stopped by to see the old place. It was especially sad to see the abandonment and vandalism after the Methodists left. It was such a thrill to see the lovely old building and property transformed into the beautiful inn, and so nice to see how much of the original charm and character was maintained! It was a little in the middle of nowhere but for my honeyboo and I - we enjoy getting away and exploring little towns and it's hidden gems. The town itself was cool with some great points of interest, but you wouldnt expect to find a really large and super cool historic boutique here. We LOVED walking the grounds and learning about it's history. The hotel is huge, the rooms nice, the staff was all very gracious. We met the GM Barbara who couldn't of been sweeter. The pool area was nice and there was a bar as well. All in all I hope this place catches on as we felt like we had the hotel to ourselves. Every so often, someone comes into your life that simply makes it better. Here at the Inn, we’ve had some absolutely wonderful guests and we have some amazing people who we have the privilege to work with every day. Today’s shout out goes to this incredible man Henry. He joined our team temporarily a few months ago and to say that he is amazing is a modest compliment to him. With a work ethic that is hard to find these days - Henry has warmed his way into all of our hearts. Humble and kind and willing to help anyone - he is a rare gem. I’ll personally miss his sense of humor and style and his beautiful attitude towards everyone. He’s heading back home to South America which is an immense loss for us but I know his family will be so very happy to have him back.
